- I don't really know about its moral state or etymology. My earlier conjecture is the etymology in the entry ("get up and"). It could be construed as synonymous with adverbs. The following quote from Mark Twain illustrates that it does not necessarily conjugate with the verb it might be expected to if it were a coordinate construction:
- Lua error in Module:quote at line 2664: Parameter 1 is required.
