@פֿינצטערניש I'm curious about the age of the slang sense. It seems it is already used in the Proverbaro, but this seems to mean "word formed in a Volapük manner". Are you able to access the Oficiala gazeto esperantista? ←₰-→ Lingo ^Bingo _Dingo (talk) 14:30, 10 October 2020 (UTC)

I'm not immediately able to access it, but I'll see if there's any way I can track it down. It makes sense that it would have both meanings - but when I load the Google Books link it doesn't show the word in the excerpt at all. From what I can see, it looks like it might be a borderline case: volapukaĵo both in the sense of "formed in a Volapük manner", and also in the sense of an opaque, incomprehensible compound like Volapük words are. פֿינצטערניש (Fintsternish), she/her (talk) 12:20, 11 October 2020 (UTC)
