Kubura, orthography and alphabet are two very different things.

Also, what exactly is the last part of definition "made according to Vuk Karadžić" suppose to mean? I find the wording completely obscure.--Ivan Štambuk 00:55, 20 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Gajica is not necessarily the sole meaning of vukopis. Vukopis relates to wider range.
First time I've encountered that term in the cultural magazine Hrvatsko slovo, later also in Fokus. You can find that term on the Internet also.
"Obscure"? Well, isn't that "fogginess" the best description for that term? According to Vuk Karadžić and anything that "stinks" like him.
Vukopis comes from
vuk + opis
Vukov (Vuk Karadžić's) ---> vuko
pravoopis (orthography) ---> pis.
Or, if you like it this way,
Vuk Karadžić ---> vuk
pravopis (orthography) ---> opis.
There you go. Kubura 01:25, 20 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I still don't get it. Can you give examples, what would be instances of vukopis ? --Ivan Štambuk 01:32, 20 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
All the instances of this term in usage I've seen rather refer to the neoštokavian basis of modern standard Croatian, than to the alphabet (gajica, has nothing to do with V.S.K.) or the phonological orthography (also nothing to do with V.S.K.). Thus, I've tagged the entry for pending verification until we resolve this.. --Ivan Štambuk 09:40, 14 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
