I did a google search to count wolfs/wolves. To eliminate the 3rd person sing. ver (to wolf down food) I added the and enclosed in quotes

• "the wolves" 3.95 Mega googles
• "the wolfs" 3.8 Mega googles

However, this may be confounded by ocurrences mistyping of wolf's. I added it as alternate spelling rather than misspelling. May need reconsideration. RJFJR 15:44, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

Whoa, be careful! Did you eliminate the possessive wolf's? That would make up a very large fraction. Equinox ◑ 19:57, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Please disregard my counts above. I'm getting inconsistent and weird results from google. I've changed it to mispelling of wolves. (Google does strange things to apostrophes like in wolf's and its stemming feature makes it hard to use for our purposes.) RJFJR 15:48, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
