@SGconlaw This currently breaks when no page is mentioned. That's not cool, as I have added this template loads of times without citing a page. To save me from going back and adding the pages, which I am not gonna do, by the way, the template should be fiddled with so it doesn't break without a page number --Elvinrust (talk) 03:46, 2 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Elvinrust: I have adjusted the quotation template. However, kindly go through your edits and check whether the passage is from Pope's 1712 version of the work (only two cantos) or the 1717 version (expanded to five cantos). If you do not specify |year=1717 the template defaults to the 1712 version and this is wrong in some cases, for example, at cosmetic. That is why it is advisable to check the actual text. Also, at that entry you had indicated the parameter wrongly as |Canto=. — SGconlaw (talk) 09:13, 2 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
