@Atitarev, please revert Your action. This edit of Yours [1] affects 17 users. They declared their mother tongue as Croatian, not as so-called "Serbo-Croatian". Just for communication (talk) 00:31, 16 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Just for communication: We treat Bosnia, Croatian, Serbian and Montenegrin as one language - Serbo-Croatian (sh) - Wiktionary:Votes/pl-2009-06/Unified Serbo-Croatian, WT:ASH. There are numerous discussions and our policy is enforced by modules and templates. Language codes, other than "sh" and L2 header other than "Serbo-Croatian" are not allowed but sometimes we can link interwikis to other projects, e.g. "hr". If users want to continue editing in Wiktionary, they have to agree with our rule. If you disagree with this, you can post WT:BP but your chances are slim. Nothing will change without a re-vote. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 00:58, 16 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
There's no rule that says language user templates have to correspond to allowed entry languages. DTLHS (talk) 01:02, 16 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, DTLHS. Atitarev, I know for that policy. That rule was imposed to the community, I've seen the process, I've participated. Problem is that that change imposes language declaration of particular users. Especially for Croats, the phrase "Serbo-Croatian" is a heavy ethnic insult (symbolizes the times of ethnic submission and ethnic negation). If You don't want to change the look of that template, then please remove it from the pages of the affected users. I'm not able to remove it myself, neither as Kubura (since I am blocked because of a personal grudge), neither under some other name.
I declare my mother tongue as Croatian, not as so-called "Serbo-Croatian". Just for communication (talk) 01:06, 16 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
@DTLHS, Just for communication: This is controversial and, in my opinion, a violation of our policies and past decisions. Bring it up in WT:BP. If a decision is taken, I'll accept it. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 01:09, 16 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
If it is difficult for You, than please just remove that template from the affected users' pages. Just for communication (talk) 01:12, 16 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
No need to. If we need a linguistic knowledge, we can ask Croats or Serbs, etc. who use these templates, we treat everybody equally and no hate speech here, please. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 01:14, 16 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
Just remove that template from affected users' pages. Is that a problem? I don't want that template on my userpage. Please remove it. Just for communication (talk) 01:18, 16 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Maybe we misunderstood. I'm speaking about the template user hr. Just for communication (talk) 01:19, 16 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Because of that redirect, the template "user hr" is not "user hr" anymore, but "user sh". People have not declared their mother tongue like that, they said: "Croatian". Just for communication (talk) 01:20, 16 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
