Level of headings[edit]

The level of headings in this template is currently 4 and so it shall stay, lest the layout gets broken in all the pages where this template is being used. It fit in the scheme of the following exemplified levels:

  1. English
  2. Noun
  3. Sense
  4. Synonyms, Antonyms, See also, etc.

I have now removed the heading altogether. When this template was created by Dave Ross, there was no heading. I know that this removal has broken all the pages, but the downsides of the heading are too big to let it stand. A robot could add the headings where needed; I can do it manually step at a time too.
The specific downsides: the section heading cannot be edited when created by the template. Also, the template stands out in the article, unobvious to the casual reader that it creates a heading.

Prefix text[edit]

Originally, there was not prefix text. Now there is "In the sense of", which is okay, but makes the heading a bit long. Shorter alternatives: "Sense: ", "Meaning ". For now, I am switching to the shorter alternative "Sense: "; revert me or discuss here. --Dan Polansky 14:58, 2 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
