Borrowed from Classical Persian یونانی (yūnānī) or Arabic يُونانِي (yūnānī) meaning "Greek/Hellenistic", the basis of the discipline being Ancient Greek medicine.

  1. A form of traditional medicine practiced in the Middle East and South Asian countries, based on the concept of the four humours: phlegm, blood, yellow bile, and black bile.
