Hi Creidiki,

First of all: Welcome to Wiktionary! As far as I'm concerned anything that is a word or an expression which you can give a definition for, translate or describe lexicologically is welcome. Indeed we even have entries for symbols and punctuation. Jargon, technical and otherwise certainly has its place here. Where we draw the line is invented words and some artificial languages.

Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wiktionary. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wiktionarian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk (discussion) and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~, which automatically produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the beer parlour or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome!

Entries lacking a definition[edit]

Could you please either add a {{stub}} template to these entries, or add [[Category:Definitionless words]] - otherwise we will never find them. Cheers. SemperBlotto 10:10, 9 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Attica[edit]

This is the name of a US prison (in New York) where there was a riot that was heavilly put down by the authorities. A character in "Dog Day Afternoon" shouts it to enlist the sympathy of a mob (against the police). Don't know any jokes though. SemperBlotto 07:42, 1 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
