GSS[edit]

Firstly, talk about new subjects goes at the bottom of the existing user talk page.

Secondly, the GSS page had so many errors that it was just too difficult to fix. There were mis-spelled templates, and no proper definition of what the three letters meant. SemperBlotto (talk) 16:15, 1 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

SemperBlotto(talk) Thank you for your feedback.

1) I am not too sure what you mean for your first feedback. Due to the fact that I am new to Wikitionary, I would prefer if you give me pictures or steps to show what you mean by "new subjects at the bottom of the existing user talk page".

2) With regards to the "mis-spelled templates", do you mean that my coding template is wrong? This is because I took the coding template from examples from existing words. If it is wrong, is there a good example that you can recommend which I can follow? Or do you mean that there are spelling and grammar errors in the quotations I used for my word? Perhaps it would be good if you can be clearer here. I tried to input the definition of what the three letters meant. But I was not sure if the way I did was correct and hence decided not to include them.

  • Their are links on the Main Page to help pages (how to start a page, edit entries, layout conventions etc). Some people (including em when I was new here) find it easier to find an existing similar entry and copy its contents. If all else fails, tell me what language it is, what its part of speech is, and what it means and I shall try to add it for you. You can then modify it to get it right. SemperBlotto Yep I did check out the main page and looked at the coding from the layout conventions.. that was why I was shocked when I was told that my entry was full of errors. So would really want to see how this works. As such, possible to add it for me? GSS means Great Singapore Sale. It is an annual event where shops and stores have discount in their items, done to boost the tourism industry. This word is a noun and is part of the Singapore English. Thanks a million!
