@AryamanA Thanks for making this an "actual" transliteration policy at User:Metaknowledge's request! (as opposed to "See WP"). Other than adding vowels, would this page ideally be as thorough as Wiktionary:Hindi transliteration, or is this good enough for now? Kutchkutch (talk) 21:50, 24 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

@AryamanA: Ideally, yes, it should explain our transliteration system thoroughly. I'm just a bit lazy, haha. —AryamanA (मुझसे बात करेंयोगदान) 21:53, 24 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Schwa syncope algorithm[edit]

It's worth documenting the algorithm as currently implemented in code. Furthermore, the current algorithm seems quite lacking: schwa syncope in Marathi operates back-to-front and has a bunch of special cases around conjuncts, eyelash rephs, and nasals. It also is affected by some morpheme boundaries.

I've written a document with a complete schwa deletion algorithm that I eventually plan to polish up as a blog post or something., but the rules there do fundamentally need morpheme boundary information to work well.
