Why not link more prominently to the alternative spelling? We could do it the way Wikipedia does it on w:Dictionary. At the top of the language section we could have a heading that says, for example, 'for the name, see (capitalised version)'. —CodeCat 00:04, 14 June 2011 (UTC)

As another editor pointed out, you could have a lot of difference in variants, for example ipecac, iPod, IPO, Ipanema, so their might not be a consistency for where the capital letter appears in a word. Sometimes first, sometimes other places, sometimes not at all. My suggestion would simplify that substantially so that you just type the word and all variants appear on one page. This is how all other parts of speech are done, and apparently many people make the exception essentially just for 1 part of speech, the proper noun. While this makes sense if the proper noun is the *only* version extant, it seems silly to have people click yet another link, when the information can be presented immediately in the same page *and* is currently done so for every other part of speech. -- Avanu 06:51, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
