XFU

  1. (international standards, historical) ISO 4217 currency code for the former UIC franc; a unit of account used from 1976 to 1989.

Usage notes[edit]

This code was not moved to the table of historic currencies of ISO 4217 until 2013, but the UIC franc was in practice replaced by the European Currency Unit in 1990, which was in turn replaced by the Euro in 1999.
