Etymology[edit]

From Proto-Tocharian *ānāiwātstse, from *e(n)- +‎ *āiwā-, a form of *āiw- (to turn towards), + *-tstse; cognate with Tocharian A ānewāts. Equivalent to e(n)- +‎ aiw- +‎ -tstse.
