Interlingua[edit]

From Spanish aquel, Italian quello, Portuguese aquele, Occitan aquel, Catalan aquell, Romanian acel. From Vulgar Latin *eccum ille, a compound of Classical Latin eccum and ille.

Adjective[edit]

aquelle

  1. that

Usage notes[edit]

Due to the non-typical etymological source languages (Catalan/Occitan and Romanian), it is debatable whether this word is part of Interlingua. Alexander Gode proposed the word ille, which is the same as the third-person singular masculine pronoun.
