brew up (third-person singular simple present brews up, present participle brewing up, simple past and past participle brewed up)

  1. (transitive) To make (a liquid, especially tea, coffee, or beer) by brewing.
  2. (figurative, transitive) To concoct.
  3. (British) Make a fire in order to make tea.
  4. (military, intransitive) To go up in flames.
    Gavin's tank brewed up on the first hit.
  5. (military, transitive) To cause to go up in flames.
