So named from the bubbling and churning feeling that occurs in one's stomach and digestive tract.

bubble guts pl (normally plural, singular bubble gut)

  1. (informal) A condition where one experiences discomfort, bloating, and cramping in the stomach or digestive tract due to gases caused by extreme hunger or explosive pre-diarrhoea.
    Every time I eat at that restaurant I wake up the next day with bubble guts.
