bus bridge (plural bus bridges)

  1. A temporary system of shuttle buses bypassing a failure, overhaul, or other outage in some other mode of transit (usually rail).
    A bus bridge is being put in place for the stations affected by the recent train derailment.
  2. (computer hardware) A device for connecting two disparate hardware buses.
