From Latin grātia, as used in the phrase grātiās agō (to thank; to express thanks). Compare Italian grazie, Spanish gracias.

Usage notes[edit]

De gra is considered the most official and neutral form of "thank you" in the Ladin of Gherdëina. However, in the spoken language, the German danke is most commonly used.
