From dis- + ancorare (“to anchor, moor”).

disancoràre (first-person singular present disàncoro, first-person singular past historic disancorài, past participle disancoràto, auxiliary avére)
- (transitive, nautical) to raise the anchor of (a ship) and make preparations for the start of a voyage
- (transitive, economics) to free (a currency) from a gold standard or unlink it from the currency of another country
- (transitive) to disengage, to free from restraints
- (transitive) to unlink, to decouple
