dynamic pressure (plural dynamic pressures)

  1. (hydrodynamics) The pressure exerted upon a body in contact with a fluid due to the relative motion between the two.
    The high speed of a rocket during its ascent through the atmosphere generates considerable levels of dynamic pressure that the rocket's structure has to withstand without buckling.
