elastance (countable and uncountable, plural elastances)

  1. (physics) An electrical property that is the inverse of capacitance
  2. (mechanics) The inverse of compliance
  3. (medicine) A measurement of the tendency of the lung, urinary bladder, gallbladder or other cavity to recoil inwards. Opposite of compliance
