Etymology

Inherited from Ottoman Turkish امانةً (emāneten),[1][2] from Arabic أَمَانَةً (ʔamānatan) adverbial accusative of أَمَانَة (ʔamāna), verbal noun of أَمُنَ (ʔamuna).[3]
