From Proto-Tocharian *epiyāc (whence also Tocharian A opyāc), from an Iranian source. Compare Khotanese byāta- (id).

This noun is only attested in two phrasal verbs: epiyace käl- (to remember, recall) and epiyac yām- (to cause to remember, recall to someone).
