Etymology[edit]
Named for type locality Wheal Franco (a former copper mine in Tavistock, in Devon, England) + -lite.

francolite (countable and uncountable, plural francolites)
- (mineralogy) Synonym of carbonate-rich fluorapatite (“a variety of apatite”).
