Etymology[edit]
ho- (“space, area, things”) + -∅- (3rd person subject prefix) + -l- (classifier) + -zhíísh (momentaneous imperfective stem of root -ZHIIZH, “time passes”).

- (perfective) time is over, is ended
- Tłʼéédą́ą́ʼ hatáál baa naʼaldeehígíí bílátah dah hashzhiizh.
- The ceremony people were carrying on ended last night.

This verb is grammatically limited to expression in the third person.
