hidden city (plural hidden cities)

(aviation) A connecting city between the origin and destination of a passenger flight, where a passenger can save money on the airfare by disembarking rather than continuing to the destination.

Usage notes[edit]

Generally used attributively, as in hidden-city flight or hidden-city ticketing.
