Etymology[edit]
Noun[edit]
jumbrella (plural jumbrellas)
- A broad, canopy-like umbrella, generally used to cover the outdoor patio of a restaurant or bar, either on its own (if it is of sufficient size) or in combination with others.
- 2008 August 7, Alex Eyre, “Bars & Pubs: Cask”, in Manchester Evening News:
- More pleasing - though hardly groundbreaking - is a small, decked beer garden out back, about half the size of the inside space, fringed by planting, covered by a jumbrella and scattered liberally with ashtrays, tables and chairs.
