jump about (third-person singular simple present jumps about, present participle jumping about, simple past and past participle jumped about)

  1. To move erratically by jumping.
    The frog jumped about in the bucket.
    The children are jumping about with excitement as Christmas approaches.
  2. To move from side to side, or fidget annoyingly, usually as a result of being nervous.
