Etymology[edit]
Inherited from Ottoman Turkish كنیه (kinye, künye, “a patronymic or surname composed with father, mother, son etc.”),[1] from Arabic كُنْيَة (kunya).[2] Cognates with Azerbaijani künyə.

künye (definite accusative künyeyi, plural künyeler)
- The record that shows a person's identity information; kunya.
- A metalic item such as a bracelet, necklace etc. that displays this information.
- (printing) The page in a book that displays information like the name of the book, the author, the publisher etc.
