Etymology[edit]
Inherited from Ottoman Turkish قمه (kımme, “crown of the head; summit, top, apex”), itself from Arabic قِمَّة (qimma, “top, peak, summit”).

kımme (definite accusative kımmeyı, plural kımmeler)
- (botany) flower head, a compact cluster of florets having the appearance of a single flower
