Etymology[edit]
From Ottoman Turkish قورساق (kursak), which derives from Proto-Turkic *kurgsak (“belly, stomach”).
Noun[edit]
kursak (definite accusative kursağı, plural kursaklar)
- crop or craw, a pouch-like part of the alimentary tract of some birds
- (in insects and worms) the name of the organs located between the esophagus and the stomach
- the membrane obtained by drying a bird's crop and used for various purposes
