Named after Lin-gun Liu who first synthesized the material in 1978 at the Australian National University + -ite

- (mineralogy) A tetragonal high pressure form of albite, a tektosilicate mineral found in meteorites with formula NaAlSi3O8 although calcium may substitute for sodium.
