  1. (manufacturing) Any of a class of machine tools with computerized control and actuation, usually and especially of the CNC type.
    1. (manufacturing) Such a machine tool whose primary action is milling as opposed to turning and boring: archetypally, a computerized milling machine rather than a computerized lathe or screw machine.
