English[edit]
Noun[edit]
marionette line (plural marionette lines)
- wrinkles starting at, and perpendicular to, both corners of the mouth, reminiscent of the hinged jaw of a marionette.
- 2006, Loretta Ciraldo, 6 Weeks to Sensational Skin, page 196:
- Marionette lines — another kind of groove — form at the edges of the mouth and run down toward the chin. They look almost like a permanent frown.
