1. To procure incorrectly; to procure in a manner not in accordance with official policies and procedures.
   • 1983, United States. Congress. Senate. Committee on Governmental Affairs, Management of the Department of Defense, page 29:

     Although he permitted "slap on the wrist" against the procurement personnel who misprocured on the basis of incorrect technical information, he did nothing against those technical personnel who "perpetrated misconceptions" and disseminated "statements which were inaccurate, unproven, inconsistent" and who were "biased against JRL interests" and who thus misled these procurement personnel.

   • 2011, CTIA: Consolidated Treaties and International Agreements, page 85:

     In such cases, MCC will declare misprocurement and cancel that portion of the Compact allocated to the services that have been misprocured if corrective measures satisfactory to MCC are not taken.

   • 2013, Asian Development Bank, Procurement Guidelines:

     If procurement is not carried out as agreed, ADB will declare misprocurement, and normally cancel that portion of the financing allocated to the goods and works that have been misprocured.

   • 2017, Sope Williams-Elegbe, Public Procurement and Multilateral Development Banks:

     When misprocurement is declared, the Bank will not finance expenditures under the contract that has been so misprocured.
