p-word (plural p-words)

  1. (euphemistic) Any taboo word starting with p, e.g. piss, penis, pussy, poof, prick, or Paki.
  2. (phonology) prosodic word, phonological word.
  3. (grammar) A preposition or adverb that no longer performs a prepositional or adverbial function including particles in phrasal verbs, quasi-modal verbs, and determiner phrases and infinitive markers.
