paint bucket (plural paint buckets)

  1. (computer graphics) A tool in some graphics editor applications that fills in a portion of the image with a certain color or pattern.

      Click and hold the gradient tool icon (sixth tool on the right) to display the flyout menu pictured on the left in Figure 6-18. Then choose the paint bucket.
