Etymology[edit]
Inherited from Middle French planteurouse, an altered form (possibly influenced by heureux) of Old French plentiveuse, an adjectival form derived from plenteif (“abundant, full”), from plentet + -if, from Latin plenitas (“fullness, abundance”).
