  1. (video games, chiefly roleplaying games) The situation where a player battles computer-controlled opponents rather than other human players.
  2. (roleplaying games) Roleplaying that is not PvP, with or without the inolvement of other players; either interacting with characters played by GMs or simply the wider world in general.
