plume grass (countable and uncountable, plural plume grasses)

  1. A kind of grass, Bothriochloa saccharoides), having spikelets arranged in long silky plumes. It grows in swamps in the Southern United States.
  2. A kind of grass, Tripidium ravennae, from the Mediterranean region.
  3. Any other grasses from the genus Erianthus, now in genera Saccharum and Lasiorhachis.
