preregister (third-person singular simple present preregisters, present participle preregistering, simple past and past participle preregistered)

  1. (intransitive) To register for something (especially for a course of education) prior to its start.
  2. (transitive) To register or enroll (a person, especially a student) prior to the start of something.
  3. (transitive, intransitive, methodology) To register (a study design and its planned statistical analysis) before the study by reporting (them) in the scientific literature via a registered report.
