  1. Enlargement at the site of an organ or part resulting from an increase in size or number of a separate tissue.
    Early signs of Duchenne muscular dystrophy may include pseudohypertrophy (enlargement of calf muscles), low endurance, and difficulties in standing unaided or inability to ascend staircases.
