remote desktop (countable and uncountable, plural remote desktops)

  1. (computing) A real-time network mirroring of one computer's graphical display onto another computer (with or without knowledge of the mirrored computer's user, with or without shared mouse and keyboard interaction).
  2. (computing) A specific software program that accomplishes that mirroring.
