Etymology[edit]

From Old English [Term?] and ringol. Compare ring.

Noun[edit]

rigol (plural rigols)

  1. (obsolete) A circle.
  2. (obsolete) A diadem, crown (ornamental headband worn as a badge of royalty).
  3. (nautical) A ridge or channel above a porthole to redirect water flow from dripping inside the vessel.
