  Nel 2013, io gli scrissi una mail quando si formò il governo Letta dicendogli... che sarebbe stata la cronaca di una morte annunciata vedendo le persone che aveva indicato in quel governo. E lui... qualunque persona probabilmente si sarebbe adirata, mi avrebbe, come dire, sbattuto la porta in faccia. Invece lui mi nominò sottosegretario — ruolo dal quale io mi dimisi proprio in protesta di quella sentenza di primo agosto 2013.
  In 2013, I wrote him an email when the Letta government was formed, telling him... that it would be a foretold death, seeing the people whom he had appointed in that government. And he... Any other person would have probably gotten angry, would have, so to speak, shut the door on me. Instead, he appointed me as the undersecretary — a role from which I resigned precisely in protest of that verdict of August 1, 2013.
