sciomancer (plural sciomancers)

  1. One who summons or communicates with spirits of the dead; necromancer.

      The sciomancer called forth the ghost or shadow of the dead, which was not considered the living, active spirit, but rather an emanation from the dead which yet retained the impress of living thought, an idea akin to modern psychometry.
