sensory play (uncountable)

  1. (psychology) Any playful activity designed to stimulate the player's five main senses, usually involving specific toys that emit bright light, play sounds, have strong tastes and smells, a distinct texture, or all of the above.
  2. (sexuality, BDSM) Activity in which one partner delivers various sensory stimuli to the receiver, including but not restricted to those that cause pain.
