- A combine of two or more parishes for running the administration and managing the property of member parishes; there are at least two ways to translate the term into English: "parish union" and using the plural form "parishes of X".
Usage notes[edit]
According to Finnish church law, the parishes of Evangelical Lutheran church belonging to the same municipality must form a seurakuntayhtymä, but larger combines are possible on voluntary basis.
