singlicate (plural singlicates)

  1. An assay performed singularly, as opposed to replicated assays (e.g. assays performed in duplicate or triplicate).
    • 2005, Microarrays in Clinical Diagnostics, Joos & Fortina:
      Most conventional immunoassays, especially those performed using automated equipment, have reached a level of reliability such that singlicate analysis is now the normal practice.
